Scrappin' & Yappin'!

I got up early this morning and went out to water my plants before 7:30am! I waited on the babies, but they never came. Seems Monkey is sick. So it was just Hannah and I for the morning.

Since she was doing her own thing, I decided to put together the layout I sketched out last night. It turned out really well, and I thought I'd share it. LMK what you think...

The journaling is this blog post. I just really really loved this picture for some reason and felt it just HAD to be scrapped. :)

I had a very special phone call a little while ago. Em called me and said she'd like to come by. We haven't seen each other since Christmas - I've been so out of the loop that it never dawned on me that it's been that long. But she's coming over this afternoon, so I'm really looking forward to seeing her. :)

Lori, Mom & hopefully the girls are also planning to come over for supper tonight as well. I've got the crockpot filled with pork chops with apples, onions & cabbage. It smells awesome. I also made a wonderful tomato salad yesterday. Will try to get a picture of it and post my recipe if it's a hit tonight. Am planning to make some mac & cheese a little later this afternoon, as well as oven roasted squash & onions. Watermelon for dessert. I'm SO loving all this fresh new produce right now!! :)

I'm off to put something relatively cool on so I can sit in the swing out front while Hannah swims. Have a fabulous day!!

Tastes like ewwww??

I'm feeling much better, but my tummy still has an issue with food. :( I've been living on peppermint tea, toast & eggs. Oh, and weirdly enough, I've found that chicken teriyaki from one particular restaurant also agrees. Go figure. Thanks to my friends for all the ideas and suggestions.

I got this tea for Christmas, in the "Calm" variety. All the ingredients made it sound like a very yummy tea, and I've been having a bit of trouble getting my days and nights straight again after the weekend, so I had a cup tonight. Well, it smells like this, and it leaves a taste in my mouth similar to the one I get after using that. So to get the taste out of my mouth, I had to nibble on lots and lots of these. Needless to say, I am NOT impressed. I think I'll stick with my chai and peppermint varieties from now on...

Mmmmm, chocolate....

Since I've run out of anything worthy to read, we stopped by Books-A-Million tonight to get some goodies for me. At the register, I saw this:
Now, I've been looking at this stuff for the past couple of times I went in there, but always refrained. Tonight, I just couldn't resist. Folks, let me tell you, it's some SERIOUS chocolate!! It's not really sweet, but instead is really intense, lingering on the taste buds for ages afterwards. It's too intense to eat a lot of at one time, but instead, just a tiny nibble now and then should kill that craving.

It's relatively expensive (to me, anyway), at $3.99 a bar, but it is SO worth it! So if you're a serious chocoholic and want to eat something that's actually good for you, I totally recommend grabbing some of this good stuff. It's wonderful!

What kind of junk food are you?

Like chocolate cake, you are friendly, dependable and make a great friend. You're the perfect person to turn to in times of need!
