I pulled out a toy baking set and toy food for the girls the other day. They all spent several hours "baking" and "cooking". I don't remember ever "tasting" so many different pretend dishes as I did that day. Every thirty seconds, one of them was at my side, wanting me to "taste". Even Val got into the act, although she's not walking yet, so she couldn't ask for a taste tester. What fun we all had, though. It's such a wonderful thing to watch the little ones finding such joy in simple things like this.
